Hi, I’m Artemis, an owl and crow-loving, north of England dweller. I’m a well-seasoned (a nice mix of sweet and salty) creative, annoyingly enthusiastic about the great outdoors, a bit of an intra-extrovert, wannabe wildlife filmmaker and a definite work in constant progress.  

PROFESSIONALLY

I’ve had a bit of a thing for audio since my days as (a slightly older) undergraduate in Film and Media studies. Ambient sound, sound design and spoken word stuff took up residence in my brain after the first radio production module of my degree. I found I really enjoyed the creative process that goes into making both audio and film and I recently graduated with a Master of Arts in Documentary Filmmaking from The Northern Film School

I worked for many years in rural industries and later hospitality so I thrive in an environment where specific things need to happen and be in place for the magic to work. A skill that comes in handy for making all the cogs turn and plates spin in podcast production. I’m also a dab hand at research too!

PERSONALLY

I am a huge fan of nature and being outdoors and I like to spend my spare time hiking. You can’t beat a good 10-mile hike with a pub at the end. I also enjoy taking photos on those walks, there’s something I really love about landscapes, our natural world and our trees! 

My musical preference varies depending on what I’m doing, but I recently got into Taylor Swift (don’t judge me!) and I’ll forever love classical stuff for concentration work. I’m the same with TV and films!! When I’m not working you’ll find me outside…
